Salam. I have a question. I had been noticing that a lot of people nowadays, mostly young parents don't really take note of circumcise or more known as "berkhatan" or "menyunat" Some says that it is sunat and not wajib. Some also did say that it is may harm the baby. Hence, they do not want the baby to be circumcised. I heard views from many and I am not sure which one is true and to believe. But for me, from what I understand and learn so far, "berkhatan" is sunat. And the reason for we, as muslims doing it is to differentiate us from the non muslims. Also, it is for hygiene. Correct me if I am wrong. I am just a normal human being. And would love to hear views from others too. Wallahu aa'lam :)
